CNC Mill/Turn Machinist
Pay: £42,159 + 33% Shift Premium
Contract: 18x Month FTC
Location: Wolverhampton

Overview
We are currently seeking an apprentice-trained, experienced CNC Mill/Turn Machinist to join a high-precision manufacturing environment on an 18-month fixed term contract. This role involves producing complex, close-tolerance components within a highly regulated engineering sector. Working with advanced CNC machinery, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting components to exacting standards, contributing to the manufacture of bespoke, high-quality mechanical products.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machines and processes
  • Carry out first-off inspections and complete all required quality documentation
  • Confidently set and use a variety of machine tools
  • Ensure components meet drawing specifications and tolerance requirements
  • Use precision measuring equipment accurately and consistently
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and process compliance

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship
  • Proven experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Background in high-precision or regulated industries (aerospace experience advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques and tooling selection
  • Experience working in multi-axis / complex machining environments
  • Proficient in inspection techniques and precision measurement
  • 5+ years experience operating CNC Mill/Turn machines, including:
    • Okuma
    • Mazak
    • DMG
    • Matsuura
    • Puma
    • CNC Lathes

Additional Information:
  • Role will initially follow a day shift pattern, with transition to night shifts
  • Overtime may be available depending on workload
  • BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance is required and must be maintained
