CNC Machinists(Grinders and EDM Operators) required for Weekend Night Shift 17:45 05:45 (FriSun) to join awell-established, growing manufacturersupplying high-precision components to theaerospace and power generation industries.Weve partnered with this business for over20 years, and theyre known for theirexcellent working environment, strong leadership, and long-term career prospects.Whats on offer£21.98 per hour (including shift allowance)36 hours - Weekends onlyBonus schemeOvertime available and paid at enhanced rates26 days holiday + 7 bank holidaysPermanent, secure role with a growing manufacturerThe roleYoull operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality, precision components, ensuring all work meetsstrict quality and customer standards.Key responsibilities include:Operating CNC3-axis, 5-axis and 7-axisGrindingMachines, ensuring that parts are machined in accordance with the agreed method specification..Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set ups in line with Company requirementsUnderstanding of engineering drawings, ensuring that fixtures are correctly aligned.Inspecting parts in line with quality procedures and taking any necessary, approved, action to resolve quality issuesOperating CMM machines to support inspection requirement.Consistently achieving all targets (production, quality, housekeeping etc), as set by the Cell ManagerAdherence to all companypolicysand procedures, including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety.Working in full compliance with quality, safety and company proceduresRequirements for the position of the CNC Operator:Demonstrated experience in CNC machining and/or a strong academic background in engineering, ideally supported by a recognised machining apprenticeship.Previous experience working with metal components.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Proficient in conducting self-inspection of machined components using manual measurement tools.Desirables:Previous experience in CNC Grinding or EDM is advantageous but not essential.Experience within an Aerospace sector is advantageous.Positive attitude and a keenness to learn.Experience with CNC programme editing or basic G code adjustments.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong problem solving mindset.Please note:Sponsorship is not available.
