Onsite We are urgently seeking an experienced
CNC Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator
to join a modern, well-structured manufacturing environment. This role is suited to someone with a strong background in precision machining who can programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently to achieve right-first-time results. You will be joining an inclusive, collaborative team within a professional workshop housing

CNC machinery, laser equipment, and CMM inspection

Key Accountabilities Programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate manufacture Create and maintain layout sheets detailing tooling, set-ups, and machine parameters Work independently to high standards while meeting production deadlines Inspect and qualify own work using a range of measuring equipment Document quality results in line with company procedures Support and train colleagues where required Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment, adhering to PPE requirements Contribute to continuous improvement through time- and cost-saving initiatives Qualifications & Experience Time-served apprenticeship preferred (not essential) Ideally
several years experience
programming and operating
3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines Strong proficiency with
Heidenhain controls
(Fanuc experience advantageous) Ability to take responsibility for own quality, including use of MTE and completion of quality documentation Previous experience with
Doosan, Matsuura, and/or Mazak
machines Ability to machine to tight tolerances
( circa
20 microns
) Experience machining
large components up to 2.5 metres Overhead crane and manual handling training beneficial (training can be provided) Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude High focus on quality, productivity, and continuous improvement Flexible and adaptable to support a changing business environment Strong work ethic essential B
