Salary - Competitive Salary As Head of Marketing for Middle Eight and The Guardsman, you will lead the overall marketing strategy for two distinctive lifestyle hotels. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, positioning, and revenue through innovative campaigns, strategic partnerships, and guest-centric experiences.
You will bring each property's unique identity to life, ensuring a clear and compelling brand presence across all touchpoints. Working closely with commercial, operational, and creative teams, you will deliver impactful marketing initiatives that resonate with target audiences and support commercial performance.
In collaboration with a Digital Agency, you will oversee the development and execution of integrated digital strategies to drive brand visibility, direct revenue, and guest engagement across both properties.
Partnering with on-property teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders, you will ensure each hotel maintains a distinct voice while identifying opportunities to create synergy and maximise overall performance.
Marketing Strategy & Planning
• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies for both hotels aligned with business objectives
• Create annual marketing plans, budgets, and campaign calendars
• Ensure each property maintains a distinct brand identity while leveraging shared opportunities
Brand & Positioning
• Act as brand guardian for both hotels, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
• Shape and evolve brand positioning in line with market trends and guest expectations
• Oversee visual identity, tone of voice, and storytelling
Campaigns & Activations
• Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, partnerships, on property)
• Lead creative concepts and seasonal campaigns that drive awareness and revenue
• Support key business periods, launches, and promotional activity
Partnerships & Local Engagement
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships (brands, media, influencers, entertainment, local businesses)
• Drive collaborations that enhance brand visibility and guest experience
• Build strong relationships within the local community and lifestyle scene
Content & Creative
• Oversee content creation including photoshoots, video, social content, and brand assets
• Work with agencies, freelancers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality creative output
• Ensure content reflects the lifestyle positioning of each hotel
Public Relations & Communications
• Support PR strategy, media outreach, and press engagement via PR agency
• Coordinate press stays, influencer visits, and brand events
• Manage brand messaging across all communications

Digital & Performance Oversight
• Collaborate with digital teams or agencies to ensure strong online presence and performance
• Oversee website & OTA content, social media direction, and campaign alignment
• Ensure marketing activity supports direct revenue growth

Budget & Performance Management
• Manage marketing budgets across both properties effectively
• Report on key metrics including brand awareness, engagement, and revenue impact
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with Sales, Revenue, and Operations teams to align marketing with commercial goals
• Support F&B, events, and entertainment programming through marketing initiatives
• Act as a key point of contact for all marketing-related activity across both hotels
Team Management
• Manage Marketing team performance through clear goal-setting, regular feedback, and accountability to achieve key business outcomes.
• Oversee day-to-day team operations, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure productivity and engagement.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven experience in a marketing role, ideally within hospitality, lifestyle, or luxury sectors
• Strong understanding of brand marketing, partnerships, and campaign execution
• Experience managing multiple locations
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Strong creative and commercial thinking
• Experience working with agencies and external partners
• Solid understanding of digital marketing
• Experience with Wordpress is essential
