Class 1 Driver Location : Yeo Valley, Highbridge Shift : 4on 4off - Nights Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If 'YES,' we want to hear from you! About the Role As a Class 1 Driver, you will: Transport packaging materials to production sites and deliver finished yoghurt products to the logistics site. Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed. Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability. Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time. Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams. Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant. Essential Skills and Qualifications You must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE licence, enabling you to operate articulated vehicles with confidence and professionalism. A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. Previous experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, representing our brand with professionalism and care at every stop. You'll need to be comfortable working to tight schedules, managing your time effectively to ensure deliveries are made promptly and safely. A confident and polite communicator, you'll work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment. A good understanding of UK road network, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays. Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd? Competitive Salary : £17.50 per hour, based on 12 hours per shift. PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.
