We are recruiting for skilled class 1 drivers for our customer in Kettering .

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage routes effectively.

Duties

* Coduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. * Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. * Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.

Experience

* Class 1 experience minimum of 6 months * CPC Card * Tacho Card * Proven ability to drive various types of vehicles, particularly flatbed lorries. * Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting skills is an advantage. * A valid commercial driving licence is essential, along with a clean driving record. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required to manage delivery schedules effectively.
