Are you an experienced Building Services Project Manager with a background in HVAC or building compliance?\n\nThis is a rare opportunity to take ownership of large-scale projects — valued up to £30 million — within one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile engineering environments.\n\nWe’re seeking a Building Services Project Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of major infrastructure and compliance-led projects across Portsmouth Naval Base, covering a diverse estate of over 450 buildings.\n\nTell me more...\n\nAs part of the Building Services team, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple projects from design through to commissioning and handover — working closely with engineers, contractors, the client, and end users.\n\nYou’ll lead on all aspects of project delivery, including scope development, procurement, cost control, and programme management, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.\n\nThis role will particularly suit someone with experience in HVAC systems, mechanical building services, or statutory compliance works within large estates, public sector, or defence environments.\n\nWhat do you need?\n\nProven experience delivering Building Services or HVAC projects, ideally within complex or secure sites\n\nExperience managing projects up to £30 million in value, across multiple buildings or facilities\n\nStrong understanding of building compliance, mechanical systems, and health & safety regulations\n\nExcellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills\n\nAbility to manage multi-disciplinary teams and supply chain partners\n\nSolid understanding of Building Regulations, British Standards, CDM Regulations, and industry best practice\n\nIdeally qualified with a Degree, HNC/HND in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering\n\nProfessional certification such as APM PMQ, SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH is advantageous\nThe details:\n\nLocation: Portsmouth Naval Base\n\nBritish Passport is required\n\nSalary: Up to £64,000 per annum (depending on experience)\n\nHours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday\n\nBenefits include:\n\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n\nEnhanced pension scheme and life assurance\n\nGroup income protection and wellbeing support\n\nCycle to work scheme and employee recognition initiatives\n\nOngoing professional training and chartership support\n\nAccess to exclusive discounts and on-site benefits\nThis is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading organisation delivering major projects that keep one of the UK’s most critical naval facilities operational, safe, and future-ready.\n\nKingdom People is acting within the capacity of a Recruitment Agency for their client
