Civil Groundworker

Salary: £31,000 - £35,500 per annum

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Hours: Full Time, Permanent | 08:00-17:00 (flexibility required)

A leading provider of environmental and drainage services is looking to recruit an experienced Civils Groundworker to support excavation, drainage, and reinstatement projects across the UK.

This is a hands-on role suited to a dependable and safety-conscious individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work while representing the business professionally on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out excavation works, including support of temporary works

Install drainage systems, manholes, tanks, and ducting

Undertake backfilling, spoil management, and cold-lay reinstatement (Section 72 compliant)

Complete maintenance excavations, minor foundation works, and blockage clearance

Provide accurate job updates using PDA/CRM systems

Produce site reports with supporting photographs

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and company procedures

Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard

Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues at all times

Essential Skills & Experience

Full UK Driving Licence

Proven experience in civils, groundworks, or drainage

Strong understanding of health & safety practices

High attention to detail and quality of work

Customer-focused with a team-oriented mindset

Flexible approach to travel and occasional overnight stays
