Job Description
A well known client of ours is expanding its presence in the Midlands, and they’re looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join the Birmingham team. If you’re passionate about delivering high‑quality infrastructure solutions and want to be part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking consultancy, this role offers the perfect platform to grow and make an impact.\n\nAbout \n\nYou’ll work within our established civil engineering team, supporting the design and delivery of a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use sectors. From early‑stage feasibility through to detailed design and construction support, you’ll play a key role in shaping practical, sustainable engineering solutions.\n\nThe role\n\nProducing civil engineering designs, drawings, and calculations for drainage, highways, earthworks, and infrastructure\n\nPreparing technical reports and supporting planning submissions, including Section 38/104/278 applications\n\nWorking with industry‑standard software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and AutoCAD\n\nCollaborating with clients, contractors, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams\n\nSupporting project delivery, ensuring work is completed to high technical standards and within deadlines\n\nContributing to a positive team culture and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate\n\nWhat they’re looking for\n\nDegree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline\n\nExperience within a consultancy environment (open to a range of experience levels)\n\nStrong understanding of UK design standards and approval processes\n\nProactive approach to problem‑solving and communication\n\nWorking toward professional accreditation (IEng/CEng) is advantageous\n\nWhats on offer\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\nHybrid working options\n\nSupport for professional development and chartership\n\nA friendly, collaborative team environment\n\nOpportunities to work on diverse and technically interesting projects across the region
