Job Description
Closing Date: 19th January 2026\n Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary until 29/02/2028\n Stirling Council is looking for a Graduate Civil & Bridges Engineer to play a key role assisting in the delivery of major and strategic projects across Stirling, and improving the region’s connectivity and economic ambitions. \n To participate in the provision of professional design and project management services and support the team with investigating, developing, and evaluating design solutions on the basis of their value and impact on the environment, safety, economy, integration, accessibility, quality of design, and ease of construction. \n Brief, take oversight, and contribute to technical surveys, assessment and feasibility studies, preparation of drawings, compilation of bills of quantities, and evaluation of cost estimates. \n Undertake design work to provide AutoCAD drawing capabilities to support the team.
\n Work with the Service to ensure that designs are compliant with all design policy documents and Council standards whilst seeking innovative best practice in design. \n Work with the councils Transport Design Team, and other internal teams, and with contractors, consultants to ensure projects are delivered effectively. \n Correspondence and communication with landowners, communities, Elected Members and regarding maintenance obligations and works.
