About the Role
As a
Senior Residential Care Worker , you will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment while also supporting the Registered Manager with leadership responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Being a positive role model for staff and young people
Providing direct care and support to children with complex emotional and behavioural needs
Leading shifts and maintaining high-quality care standards
Managing routines including meals, education, and personal development
Completing documentation, risk assessments, and behaviour management plans
Supervising and mentoring staff
Working with external professionals such as social workers and educators
Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards
What Were Looking For
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
(essential)
Experience in
childrens residential care
(essential)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
Full UK manual driving licence (own vehicle preferred; company vehicles provided for transporting children)
Commitment to continuous professional development and safeguarding best practice
