: Permanent Purpose of the Role: Our client, a leading housing provider, is seeking a Childrens Registered Service Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Children's Contracts, you will take a hands-on approach to lead the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring high-quality support and positive outcomes for young people leaving care, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people, by supporting them in their transition to adulthood and independent living. Duties and Responsibilities Manage services to meet young peoples priority needs in line with legislation, policy, and good practice. Oversee service and staff performance, managing day-to-day operations, complaints, and maintenance. Liaise with stakeholders, local authorities, sub-contractors, Police, NHS, charities, and Environmental Health. Plan and manage business objectives to meet contract specifications and standards. Handle people management, including sickness, absence, performance, and discipline. Participate in service development, monitoring, review, and continuous improvement. Ensure equal opportunities and fair treatment for young people and staff, respecting cultural, religious, and physical needs. Ensure all safeguarding issues are managed according to company policies and procedures. Provide and manage 24/7 on-call support and maintain adequate staffing levels. Complete and submit required reports, returns, and safeguarding documentation accurately. Ensure staff are trained, placements facilitated, and safeguarding policies are followed. Required Skills: Level 5 NVQ/Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or working towards. Level 5 Leadership & Management or willingness to complete. Strong knowledge of OFSTED and the interview process. Proven people management experience in a childrens care setting. Confident leadership with ability to build relationships with staff, landlords, and agents. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage own performance. Full UK driving licence with daily travel across a wide geographical area. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
