Registered Manager Children s Residential Home Location: Bolton Contract: Full-Time, Permanent We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a large detached children s residential home supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, may have mental health needs, and/or have a learning disability. The home offers extensive outdoor space designed to encourage positive engagement, therapeutic activities, and structured development. The home provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally. About the Role: As Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and staff development. You will lead a dedicated team in delivering trauma-informed, child-centred care that promotes stability, resilience, and positive outcomes. A Managing Director with previous experience working within Ofsted, offering invaluable regulatory insight and strategic guidance. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home in line with regulatory and legislative requirements. Ensure high-quality care delivery tailored to children with trauma backgrounds, mental health needs, and learning disabilities. Maintain full compliance with safeguarding and children s residential regulations. Drive continuous improvement and work towards maintaining and enhancing Ofsted ratings. Manage budgets, occupancy, and performance targets effectively. An experienced Registered Manager (or strong Deputy ready to step up). Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards). Proven experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks. A passionate, child-focused leader committed to delivering exceptional care and positive outcomes.
