Role of a Childrens Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker Engage with the children therapeutically to build healthy relationships.
To act as a positive role model, setting an example
Support in a structure-rich, homely environment, being consistent and nurturing
Liaise with family, teachers, social workers, and therapists to ensure positive outcomes
Assisting the children in learning valuable life skills and building confidence
Supporting day-to-day activities to help build their social and emotional skills
Managing and understanding behaviours and the reasons for them
Maintain accurate reports and keep thorough records
Creating a therapeutic, safe and healthy environment for the young people to thrive
Positive engagement is key to encouraging the children's development
Requirements of a Childrens Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker Must hold a Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
Must hold a full UK Manual Driving License and have access to a vehicle
Prior experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Must have an excellent understanding of safeguarding
Experience using PACE and other therapeutic models would be an advantage
Flexibility to work to a rota pattern including long days, some weekends, and sleep-ins
