Define and implement a forward-thinking technology strategy aligned with the companys long-term objectives in specialty insurance. Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to overall business strategy. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of technology platforms that enhance underwriting, claims processing, and policy management. Take accountability for the successful delivery and adoption of strategic change programmes. Drive the adoption of data analytics, machine learning, and AI to improve risk modelling and customer insight. Build and integrate products to streamline operations and improve customer experience. Lead and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals, data scientists, and developers to foster a culture of innovation and excellence. Adopt, attract, retain, and develop top talent, building a high-performing technology team. Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to maintain competitive positioning. Promote collaboration between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment on shared goals. Skills & Experience Profile Deep understanding of specialty insurance operations, including broking, underwriting, claims, and risk management Proven experience setting and realising technology strategy in an enterprise specialty insurance setting, from either an architecture, delivery leadership or business leadership perspective Strong knowledge of cloud computing, AI, machine learning, and data analytics Proficiency in modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) Familiarity with cybersecurity and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) Deep experience working within a regulated environment, working to international regulatory reporting & compliance standards (FCA / SOX) Demonstrable capability successfully managing multi m technology investments / programmes Experience working in a multi-national M&A environment, including specific US experience Advanced stakeholder management capabilities operating at C-level Additional Information Salary Comp Information: POA Base Location: London with occasional global travel Working Pattern: Predominantly onsite Visa Requirement: UK (Sponsorship not offered) Background checks: FCA / BS7858
