PSM Recruitment is seeking a skilled Chef, to join our clients team in Dover area. You will be running the kitchen during your shift, preparing food to order and assisting the Head Chef and Manager with the development and profitability of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipesWork under pressure in an open kitchen, in a fast-paced environmentManage the shift team effectively for maximum productivity and service levelsEnsure food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractivelyAssist in keeping the kitchen clean and organisedCollaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality mealsBe able to take in deliveries and rotate stock effectivelyMaintain the highest standards of presentation and quality at all timesKey Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience cooking in a kitchen, in a restaurant or similar settingKnowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminologyUnderstanding of food safety practicesAbility to work well under pressure and in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and passion for creating delicious mealsMust be able to work on a shift pattern of early starts and late finishesBenefits :Straight shifts, with a regular weekend offStaff parking and discounted foodCompany uniform providedGet to be part of a supportive teamHours: 40 hours per week, on a 9-hour shift system covering the hours between 6.00am and 10.00pm (or 7.30am to 10.00pm Sunday)Salary: £14.50phJob Types: Full-time, PermanentThis is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established and professional company.
