Key Responsibilities:
As a Chef, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals for around 100 residents in this site near Torquay:
Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals tailored to residents' needs Cater for special diets, including modified textures in line with IDDSI guidelines Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets effectively Work closely with care teams to meet individual preferences Supervise kitchen staff and ensure compliance with all regulations
What we're looking for:
We're looking for a reliable and compassionate Chef who brings:
Experience in catering, ideally within a care or healthcare setting Good understanding of nutrition, particularly for elderly residents Knowledge of special diets, including allergies and IDDSI standards Strong food hygiene and safety knowledge (HACCP) Ability to plan menus and manage budgets efficiently Confidence in supervising and supporting a team Preferably local to Torquay
