Permanent | Full-time Heaton House Farm is a family-run events business, home to Stable Yard Catering, our onsite and external catering company. We are renowned for delivering exceptional weddings alongside charity events, corporate meetings and flagship company events, with catering provided both on-site and at venues across the region, all supported by a professional and friendly team. We are now seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade and play a key role in delivering high-quality food across weddings, banqueting and external catering events.
What youll be doing Run your designated kitchen section during prep and service, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery Prepare and cook consistently high-quality food for weddings, private events, corporate functions and external catering events Support food production across both onsite and offsite operations Maintain excellent standards of food presentation, consistency and portion control Ensure all prep is completed to specification and within required timescales Work closely with Sous Chefs and Head Chef to deliver smooth service Assist with stock rotation, storage and waste control Maintain a clean, organised and efficient section at all times Follow all food safety, hygiene, HACCP and allergen procedures Support setup, delivery and service at external catering events where required Assist in training and guiding junior chefs and kitchen assistants Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, presentation and the overall food offering
About you Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up Confident running a section in a busy kitchen environment Passion for producing high-quality fresh food with strong attention to detail Calm under pressure and able to work efficiently during busy services Strong organisational skills and a positive, can-do attitude Good understanding of food safety and allergen management Reliable, hardworking and a supportive team player Keen to learn, develop and progress within a growing business Full UK driving licence and access to transport due to our rural location
Working pattern 4 days per week Shifts aligned to event schedules including a mix of daytime and evening work Weekends and bank holidays required as part of an events business Flexibility essential to meet the demands of a busy events calendar
