Rutherford Care, the healthcare division of the Rutherford Chase Group, is recruiting a Chef to join a well-established care home in Stone. This position offers stable, long-term employment in a structured kitchen environment, more aligned to care home or school catering than a fast-paced restaurant. Working Pattern
Rota-based across 7 days (including weekends) Typically 35 shifts per week 12-hour shifts (e.g. 7am7pm) Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals tailored to residents dietary needs Plan menus and manage weekly food ordering Maintain kitchen records (temperature logs, cleaning schedules, etc.) Ensure compliance with COSHH, Environmental Health, and Health & Safety Support all kitchen duties, including washing up when required Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment Requirements
Previous experience as a Chef (care home, school, or contract catering preferred) Strong knowledge of food hygiene, COSHH, and H&S regulations Confident managing kitchen compliance and paperwork Hands-on, reliable, and flexible approach Able to work independently and as part of a team Whats on Offer
