About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Cash & Billing Team Leader to join our Finance team at our Business Services Centre in Caerphilly. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that cash is accurately allocated and billing is completed right first time, supporting the overall financial health and control of the business.As Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cash & Billing team, ensuring deadlines are achieved, performance is monitored against KPIs, and efficiencies and continuous improvements are delivered. Your leadership will be instrumental in enabling the team to meet its objectives while maintaining high standards of internal and external customer service.Key Responsibilities (but not limited)Lead, coach, and support the Cash & Billing team to meet deadlines and optimise performanceSet clear expectations and priorities, ensuring key tasks and objectives are communicated effectivelyMonitor and manage performance against KPIs, taking action where requiredImplement and maintain robust processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experienceComplete daily general ledger postings from bank clearing accountsManage weekly reconciliations and customer portalsLiaise proactively with internal departments and site personnel to resolve queries and issuesPromote a culture of continuous improvement and strong financial controlChampion team engagement and foster collaborative working relationships across Business Services.About youWe're looking for a results-driven and collaborative finance professional with strong experience in cash allocation, billing, or transactional finance environments. You bring a proactive leadership style, combining operational expertise with a passion for continuous improvement and team development. Confident in building trusted relationships, you communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work to tight deadlines. Adaptable and positive, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by driving performance, improving processes, and supporting your team through change. Minimum requirements Proven experience in cash allocation, billing, or a transactional finance functionStrong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levelsExcellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneouslyConfident and effective communicator, both verbally and in writingStrong IT capability, with advanced Excel skillsHigh attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, quality, and complianceDemonstrated ability to identify, implement, and embed continuous improvement initiativesPositive, flexible approach with the ability to embrace and support change Desirable requirements Experience in a team leader or supervisory role, managing people to achieve KPIs and performance targetsExperience working with SAPProficiency in a European language, with Dutch being particularly advantageous If you're a motivated leader with a passion for improving processes and driving team success, we'd love to hear from you.
