The Company: Café Manager Artisan Café & Events Space Our client is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Café Manager to lead and maximise the revenue of this unique café, with the added opportunity to develop a brand-new arts-focused events space currently undergoing renovation. This is a hands-on, creative leadership role for someone who is passionate about coffee, food, and people. Youll be the friendly, welcoming face of the cafésomeone who genuinely enjoys building connections while ensuring an exceptional guest experience every time. You will have experience in creating partnerships to maximise the current space and ideal location of the cafe location and its impressive footfall growing the revenue to its full potential. You will have owner support who is looking to be hands off as has other business interest with ownership/profit share opportunities for the right person. Role Details: Café Manager / Creative Operator Take ownership. Build something bigger. Were looking for more than a café manager we're seeking a driven, entrepreneurial leader to take the reins of a unique independent café and help transform it into a vibrant, multi-use venue. Currently operating as a daytime café (closing at 5 p.m.), the space ( currently 20 pax capacity and take out ) ( small team of 2 pax) with an incredible foot fall potential is entering an exciting new phase: a dedicated arts and events hub is under construction on-site. With the current ( building owner ) stepping back, to focus on other businesses youll have the freedom to shape the next chapter with full support and a genuine stake in the business.
About You Youre passionate, hands-on a friendly energetic and welcoming face of the business and ready to lead and will have proven experience in a comparable operation , this would suit a candidate still early in their career but with the relevant experience. 2/3 years experience in a comparable artisan café/events space A track record of growing or running an independent café Strong barista skills and high standards for food and drink ( this is a hands on role) Experience in recruitment, training, and team leadership Excellent customer service and organisational skills Familiarity with operating procedures, stock control, POS, and H&S Confidence to work independently and lead operations A creative mindset with experience in events, workshops, or cultural programming Experience handling alcohol licensing and liaising with the local council Experience of creating partnerships and supplier liason Marketing skillset Your Responsibilities Leadership & Vision Build, lead, and inspire your team working with the support of the owner Shape the cafés identity and direction Contribute to long-term strategy and profit growth Day-to-Day Operations Run smooth, high-standard café service Manage staff rotas, training, and quality control Oversee stock, suppliers, systems, and compliance Events & Expansion Curate and deliver cultural programming (supper clubs, pop-ups, exhibitions, workshops) Manage licensed evening events and liaise with artists, creatives, and external partners Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and local council regulations Salary and Benefits 38 - 45 k plus bonus/ profit share Profit share and long-term growth incentives Full autonomy with owner backing shape your own team, culture, and offering A creative venue with huge potential: café, bar, events, supper clubs, art programming, and more Flexible working: daytime café hours with growing evening/event elements The chance to make your mark on a growing independent venue Development and Training opportunities.
