CAD Technician

Description
We’re looking for a CAD Technician to join our design team, supporting the delivery of clean and wastewater projects. In this role, you’ll produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings using AutoCAD, including private land, site investigation and scope drawings, in line with client standards.
You’ll work closely with engineers and designers to translate mark-ups into detailed plans, manage drawing registers, review documentation, and support technical queries. This is a great opportunity for someone with water industry experience who is organised, detail-focused, and confident working across multiple projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Private Land Drawing (Land Referencing, Section 6, Section 159 & Section 168 Notice Plans)
Site Investigation Drawings (Trial Hole/Coupon Cut/Sample Cut)
Completing Overview Drawings / Scope Drawings
Competently produce detailed design & as-laid drawings using AutoCAD in accordance with the client's asset design standards and procedures.
Support the design team by creating high-quality detailed technical drawings, plans and general arrangements.
Produce CAD plans using operational mark-up sketches
Support the design team by completing basic administrative tasks
Reviewing scope & modelling documentation
Submit technical queries on behalf of the design team
Drawing Registers
Requesting & reviewing STAT plans
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience of working in the water industry on clean/wastewater projects
Understanding and knowledge of relevant Engineering specifications that apply to the water industry
Experienced user of AutoCAD
Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to work as part of a team and to organise your workload across multiple projects
