Job Description


The Role

You will be responsible for interpreting customer specifications and preparing accurate, machine-ready files to support daily production. Working closely with operations and production teams, you will help ensure work flows efficiently from order through to manufacture.

This is a production-focused role, supporting profile cutting and manufacturing operations within a fast-paced environment. The position is not a design role and would suit someone with experience in CAD/CAM programming, nesting, or CNC profile cutting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare CAD/CAM programs and nests for profile cutting machinery

  • Interpret technical drawings and customer specifications accurately

  • Produce machine-ready files for plasma, laser, oxy-fuel or CNC cutting equipment

  • Support day to day production requirements and job scheduling

  • Assist with order processing and job preparation to ensure accuracy and on time delivery

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a high volume environment

  • Work collaboratively with production and operational teams


Candidate Profile
  • Experience in a CAD/CAM, nesting, or production programming role

  • Familiarity with profile cutting or CNC manufacturing environments

  • Experience with laser, plasma, oxy-fuel, or similar cutting processes

  • Basic CAD understanding; experience with nesting software is advantageous

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Practical, production-focused mindset

Candidates from steel, fabrication, or general manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Training may be available for the right individual.
