Buyer – Sheffield/Hybrid - £30,000 - £35,000

• Manage all sourcing activities, including raising timely purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and internal teams including sales, customer service, operations, quality, engineering and supply chain
• Monitor and expedite supplier deliveries to ensure on-time customer shipments and proactively manage risks related to delays
• Accurately maintain purchase order data, vendor promise dates and review supplier acknowledgements to ensure alignment with sales order commitments
• Resolve supplier issues such as invoicing discrepancies, delivery variances and cost queries, while supporting cross-department planning and purchasing activities as needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement, focusing on service, cost efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction across the instrumentation group
