Business Development Manager

We are now seeking business development managers to extend our reach and drive growth within the catering and food wholesale and distribution segments, building commercial partnerships and supporting organisations to streamline and strengthen their supply chains and achieve sustainability goals through innovative technology solutions.
This role forms a 2-year development program, working closely with our Director and Business Development Manager team members. Throughout the program, the individual will receive tailored training, mentoring, and ongoing support, enabling them to thrive in their role, leverage their strengths, and pursue a fulfilling and impactful career at Equilibrium Markets.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, target, and win new business within the defined market segments to achieve monthly/quarterly targets for new customers onboarded to AgileChain.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through research, outreach, and networking, contributing directly to company revenue.
- Conduct needs-based discovery and deliver platform demonstrations to senior decision-makers.
- Own early-stage account management for new clients, including coordinating onboarding, delivering initial AgileChain training, data entry and platform setup for new clients, and providing hands-on support during the embedding period to drive usage and transaction volume.
- Track leads and opportunities, reporting activity and forecast accuracy.
- Managing and coordinating data requirements for new caterers, wholesalers, distributors, and their supply chains.
- Represent Equilibrium Markets at trade events, foodservice shows, and sector forums when required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends in food sourcing and distribution, sustainability, and supply chain technology.
