Business Development Manager – Sure Antennas

Sure Antennas is a UK-based antenna manufacturer located on the Wirral, supplying high-performance communication antennas to the emergency services (Police, Fire & Rescue and Ambulance), transport, and specialist vehicle markets. Our products are UK-manufactured and trusted in mission-critical environments where reliability is essential. There is currently a huge communications transformation project underway within the Emergency Services which is creating huge demand for our products, so to facilitate continued growth we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to expand our presence within the blue light sector, working with Police, Fire & Rescue, and Ambulance services across the UK.

The Role: This is a new business–focused sales role, responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new opportunities within the emergency services market. You will play a key role in building long-term relationships with fleet managers, procurement teams, vehicle converters, and technical stakeholders, targeting both end users and resellers. There are existing accounts to support and we see the role as 50/50 between new business development and supporting existing accounts.

Ideally you are commutable to the office on a daily basis; however, candidates willing to travel to the office each week for 2 days (1 night) would be considered.

Key Responsibilities include:

Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities within Police, Fire, and Ambulance services Building relationships with decision-makers, influencers, procurement contacts, and resellers Managing existing accounts and partners ensuring existing customers are supported, and that the company sees growth within existing customer base Managing the sales process from initial contact through to order placement, working closely with marketing to align sales and marketing strategies Working closely with internal engineering and production teams to deliver customer solutions Tracking pipeline activity and providing regular sales forecasts Representing Sure Antennas at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings Monitoring competitor activity and market trends within the blue light sector

About You:

Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within the blue light, emergency services, communications, or vehicle technology sectors. Confident relationship builder with a consultative sales approach Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working autonomously Track recording of developing and winning new business, managing full cycle sales process Excellent communication and presentation skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide

It may be an advantage if you had:

A Strong understanding of public sector procurement and tendering processes
