A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager

to join a growing and ambitious logistics provider. This role is ideal for a proven new-business hunter with strong experience selling

air, sea and road freight solutions

across the UK. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will have supported autonomy to build your own pipeline, win profitable new business and develop long-term customer relationships across multiple freight services along with managing key existing accounts. The Role

Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue across

air freight, ocean freight, road freight, warehousing and 3PL solutions , managing the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to onboarding. UK-wide territory , working remotely with a

weekly visit to either Feltham or Kent office . Key Responsibilities

Win new business through proactive prospecting, networking and client meetings

Sell a full portfolio of

air, sea and road freight services

(import & export)

Manage existing business accounts and ensuing they are using the optimum amount of services

Build and manage a strong new-business pipeline

Identify and convert profitable commercial opportunities

Present tailored logistics solutions based on customer needs

Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to onboarding

Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting

Review account performance to maximise revenue and gross profit

Work closely with Operations, Finance, Sales and Marketing teams

Represent the business at industry events and exhibitions

Commission Structure

Year 1:

10% GP

Year 2:

4% GP

Year 3:

1% GP

Accounts then become house accounts

Expected GP target: c.4x base salary

Experience & Skills Required

Minimum 5 years sales experience within a freight forwarding company

Proven track record of winning new business in logistics

Strong knowledge of

air, ocean and road freight

Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills

Commercially minded with strong analytical ability

Confident managing the full sales process independently

Self-motivated, ambitious and results-driven

Package

£50,000£60,000 basic salary (DOE)

Company car or car allowance

Uncapped commission
