Business Development Manager
Location : Glasgow (covering all areas of Scotland)
Salary : £35,000 - £45,000 + £4,500 car allowance + performance-based incentives
Hours : 40 hours per week (flexible to meet client requirements)
We are one of Scotland's most trusted fire and security providers with over 100 years of heritage, and we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and innovation across Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional or a skilled service engineer looking to transition into a commercial role.
You'll play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and delivering tailored fire and security solutions across commercial, domestic, and public sector markets.
As our Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:
Develop new customer relationships and expand market share.
Increase recurring revenue through maintenance and monitoring contracts.
Identify new sectors and opportunities for growth.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical insight and innovative solutions.
Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the entire journey.
Work closely with administration and engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Mentor sales team members on KPIs and development strategies.
Understand financial aspects including cash flow and profitability.
Assist with quotations, proposals, and project reviews.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in business development or technical sales within fire, security, or electrical industries.
Strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder systems, CCTV, and access control.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Commercial awareness and ability to interpret financial reports.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
