About The Role
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow SCRYPT's institutional client base across Europe and beyond. You'll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting prospective clients — banks, asset managers, family offices, corporates, and fintechs — who need regulated crypto infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role. You'll own the top of the funnel, build pipeline, and work closely with the sales and onboarding teams to move prospects from first conversation through to live account.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect institutional clients who would benefit from SCRYPT's trading, custody, asset management, stablecoin, and treasury management services.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, industry events, and inbound lead follow-up.
- Conduct discovery calls and initial meetings to understand client needs and present relevant solutions.
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales on deal strategy, with the ability to think beyond transactional wins and identify longer-term, strategic client relationships.
- Work with compliance and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to live client (KYB/KYC, account setup).
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and activity tracking in HubSpot.
- Represent SCRYPT at conferences, industry events, and working groups.
- Contribute market intelligence — feeding back what you're hearing from prospects on pricing, competitors, and product gaps.
- Support the development of sales collateral, pitch decks, and case studies as needed.
Job Requirements
- 3–5+ years in business development, sales, or relationship management within financial services or fintech.
- Demonstrable experience selling B2B infrastructure, platform, or financial products to institutional clients.
- Strong understanding of the digital assets / crypto landscape, including custody, trading, stablecoins, and regulatory frameworks (MiCA, Swiss FINMA).
- Demonstrable track record of building pipeline and closing or advancing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- An existing book of institutional contacts or a well-developed network across global crypto, banking, or asset management.
- Comfortable working against defined KPIs and pipeline targets.
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; German and/or French a strong advantage.
Strong Signals
- Familiarity with compliance and onboarding processes (KYB/KYC) in regulated financial services.
- Experience working in a growth-stage company where you have had to build processes, not just follow them.
- Understanding of OTC trading, stablecoin settlement flows, custody structures, or treasury operations.
