Business Development Manager

Our Freight and Logistics client are looking for a Business Development Manager with experience of selling solutions in the freight and logistics sector, specifically Air and Sea.
This is a field-based role ideal for someone who thrives on winning new business, developing long-term relationships and delivering tailored freight solutions.
Main Duties:
Develop, manage and maintain a strong pipeline of
Air & Sea Freight
opportunities
Identify and secure new customers across the regoin, supporting our expansion into multimodal services
Plan and manage your own customer visits and appointments.
Maintain accurate CRM records with high-quality data.
Present a clear sales pipeline to the Commercial Manager.
Produce customer visit reports and share with internal teams.
Work with the pricing team on quotes, tenders and bespoke solutions.
Support full customer onboarding including credit checks, terms and SOP creation.
Collaborate with branch managers and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation.
Build strong customer relationships through regular reviews and proactive account management.
Meet agreed KPIs and performance targets.
Attend internal sales meetings and weekly catch-ups with the Commercial Manager.

Skills and Experience
2 years experience in a commercial sales role
Air & Sea sales and Operations knowledge,
A proven track record on meeting or exceeding targets.
Compiling Client proposals and quotations
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience of working with a CRM
