Job Description
Business Analyst – Commodities Trading House | LNG, Coal, Freight, Oil | £700-800/Day Inside IR35 | 3 days office, LDN
Commodities & Energy Trading House are going through a technology landscape transformation. As such, a big project is removing their Valuations and PnL portfolio out of their current ETRM and transferring the data to a brand new, bespoke ETRM that can facilitate the trades of Physical Commodities (LNG, Coal, Freight, Oil).
The work will be focussed on improving and changing the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) applications that make up the Trading House systems landscape. You will work with users from across the business and cover functionality across the end-to-end trade lifecycle for physical LNG, Coal and Freight, as well as commodity derivatives and FX/IR.
As a Business Analyst, you will work with both front office and middle office users, with direct desk access on the trading floor, gaining exposure across end-to-end trade lifecycle for physical LNG, Coal & Freight.
As a Business Analyst, you will be required to perform extensive hands-on work in the current ETRM, understanding the Physical Commodities lifecycle and the data needed from both front and middle office, in order to develop extensive system and app knowledge of the different trades. As a Physical Commodities Business Analyst, you will be required to be proactive in engaging with users and working with them in a collaborative and open manner. You must take ownership of creating structured documentation (e.g. backlogs of user stories) and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
