About the Role As part of the Brakes Refinement team, you'll play a key role in engineering and delivering a highly refined braking system - from pedal feel to foundation brake performance - across multiple vehicle lines. Key Responsibilities Support the Lead Engineer in delivering brake refinement customer quality targets across one or more vehicle programmes. Ensure Attribute Requirement targets are met at each programme gateway. Assist with test and development activities defined in the Design Verification Plan (DVP), including both physical and virtual testing. Conduct measurement, analysis, and visual assessments to understand system performance. Collaborate on developing and implementing engineering solutions to resolve technical issues. Produce technical recommendations, documentation, and high-quality reports. Support benchmarking activities for competitor and comparator vehicles. Undertake additional tasks as required by the line manager. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Knowledge of automotive brake system design Previous experience of problem-solving tools e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving, Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in Manufacturing Previous experience and background in solving complex technical ideas and challenges Relevant degree Full UK Cat B Driving Licence Desirable: Ability to identify the specifications that influence Brake attributes including performance and refinement. Experience in the field of NVH analysis Knowledge of industry standard NVH measurement systems (LMS Test.lab, HEAD Artemis, Prosig, etc.) Microsoft package elements Project, Power Point and Excel Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering knowledge and cross functional experience Some experience of explicit and/or implicit CAE software and associated pre and post processing packages

Education Relevant Engineering Degree, ideally MEng. Full UK Cat B Driving Licence
