Position: Brake Press Operator

Location: Bedford

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Brake Press Operator required to join a well-established Engineering company that is based in the Bedford area. The successful candidate will Operate the Trumpf CNC Brake Press and support the production team operating machinery, folding, punching and preparation of sheet metal products as required.

Aircraft Mechanic Job Overview

• Operate the CNC brake press, as part of the sheet metal production process
• Select and set up machine based on material type and thickness, load programmes and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the machine.
• Monitor fill level of bulk gas storage system and record levels daily
• Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
• Keep work area clean and organised.
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Work with team members to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Working to all H&S requirements.

Aircraft Mechanic Job Requirements

• 1+ years' experience on brake press, and similar CNC machinery.
• Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and fabrication.
• Knowledge of materials, ability to distinguish types.
• Flexible approach to working.
• Team worker.
