Baggage Engineer

is required by a leading global engineering, design, and project management consultancy to support a major airport transformation programme. The organisation is internationally recognised for delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK and globally and is known for its strong engineering heritage, collaborative culture, and commitment to safety and sustainability. The Baggage Engineer will deliver and assure the baggage systems scope across the Transformation Programme, from design through to operational handover. Key requirements: Proven experience delivering airport baggage systems (HBS, EBS, check-in, or sortation) Strong engineering or construction background within major infrastructure projects Experience reviewing and challenging capacity modelling and operational data Familiarity with airport terminal projects and live operational environments Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Good understanding of safety, regulatory, and assurance requirements Key Responsibilities Support delivery of baggage systems from pre-RIBA Stage 3 through to final handover Review and interrogate capacity models to ensure future demand is met Provide technical assurance and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards Monitor programme progress, risks, and issues within the baggage workstream Coordinate with designers, contractors, and operational stakeholders Escalate risks and delivery concerns to maintain programme milestones P.S.: Visa sponsorship is not available only candidates currently residing in the UK with the existing right to work will be considered.
