We are looking for an experienced
AWS Solution Architect
to lead and support large-scale cloud migration and cloud-native transformation initiatives. This is a customer-facing, hands-on architecture role where you will define, design, and assure AWS solutions across complex, multi-account environments.
You will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to shape cloud adoption strategies, define migration patterns, and ensure platforms are secure, scalable, and well-architected from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the
technical lead
for AWS migration and cloud enablement initiatives Elicit and translate business and technical requirements into robust AWS architectures Define and document architecture artefacts including baselines, target states, roadmaps, patterns, and reference architectures Design reusable migration and deployment patterns using
Infrastructure as Code Conduct architectural reviews and ensure best use of AWS services and vendor technologies Support engineering teams with optimisation, troubleshooting, and incident escalation Drive automation, standardisation, and CI/CD adoption across platforms Produce clear technical documentation to support reuse and global delivery Skills & Experience
Strong experience delivering
AWS cloud migrations
and cloud-native solutions Deep knowledge of
AWS architecture
within large, multi-account environments Considered an
AWS subject matter expert , able to solve complex technical challenges Experience with
DevOps and CI/CD tooling Solid understanding of
AWS security and networking services Comfortable working in
Agile delivery environments Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Desirable (Not Essential)
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or Security/Networking specialisms) Scaled Agile experience (e.g. SAFe, Scrum@Scale) Stakeholder management and mentoring junior engineers Additional Information
