Job Description
We have a current opportunity for an Aviation Operations Supervisor on a contract basis with a leading energy company.
The position can be based in London, Aberdeen or Newcastle.
Description about task and responsibilities
- The Aviation Operations Supervisor is responsible for safe and efficient aviation operations to oneof the largest offshore wind farms in the world, as well as other assets as applicable in the future
- Responsible to assure governing documentation, adherence to industry standards and appropriate personnel competence, to support aviation operations.
- Understand and manage aviation risk, implement mitigations, and carry out assurance activities
- Apply technical/functional expertise in the delivery of tasks according to prioritised strategies and tasks
- Act as Company Representative for aviation and associated contracts, driving value from contracts and following up performance
- Input into Logistics and Stakeholder’s planning and assuring tactical planning of aircraft assets, crew and flying schedules
- Interface between aviation contractor and project Heli-logistics coordinator to deliver aviation needs of project , including providing aviation coordinator cover as required
- With a cost-conscious mindset, follow up on monthly budget performance and time writing reporting
- Support during incidents and emergency response situations
- Driving continuous improvement and digital pilots/projects to deliver increasing value and reducing Scope 3 emissions.
- Contribute to wider project and operation (aviation) logistics workstreams as required
Competence Requirements
- Extensive industry experience in similar roles.
- Previous experience as an Aviation Operations Supervisor in the energy industry or similar
- Ability to deliver on Company values and live by safety expectations.
- Safety and compliance focused mindset and continually striving for solutions and improvements.
- Stakeholder engagement including internal customers, cross-business discipline peers, industry workgroups and government body liaison (CAA, HCA, OEUK, G , IOGP for example)
- Comprehensive understanding of aviation logistics processes, industry and discipline standards and performance acceptance criteria.
- Commercial understanding of the logistics budget, costs and Equinor value chain
- Building industry and cross BA networks to promote efficiency, knowledge sharing and resource sharing programs.
- You are a recognised SME and share your knowledge and experience with others.
- Focused management of change and communication management in key strategic projects
