We are seeking a Senior Analyst/Associate with 3-4 years’ experience to join our Restructuring team in London.Moelis’ Associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, leadership and analytical aptitude. The day-to-day responsibilities of an Associate include: financial analysis and modeling, managing a team, preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients. A sophisticated level of interpersonal skill is required.Job SummaryAdvising companies, creditors and other stakeholders on capital structure issues, including restructurings, recapitalisations and other liability management exercisesBuilding financial models and running valuations and returns scenariosDue diligence of business plans, liquidity forecasts and other financial informationAnalysing credit agreements and other legal documentsProject management of transactions and coordination of project deliverables, including responsibility for drafting client materialsPresenting materials to clientsLiaising with client counterpart(s) and other advisersSupporting business development initiatives including exchanging views on distressed situations with funds and legal advisersSupervision of and collaboration with analystsDesired Profile3-4 years’ experience working in Restructuring or closely related areas such as leveraged finance or credit investingUndergraduate degree from a top universityFluent in English, with fluency in additional languages an advantageRequired SkillsStrong understanding of accounting and financial concepts and ability to analyse business plansStrong understanding of distressed credit, including relevant legal conceptsExcellent analytical and presentation skillsDemonstrated maturity, attention to detail, initiative, and problem solving skillsTeam player mentality, and ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clientsA drive for results, and ability to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlinesProactive / entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to take on responsibilityProficient in Microsoft Excel including strong financial modelling skills, as well as experienced in using Powerpoint to create impactful presentationsWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to promoting diversity, preventing discrimination and providing a supportive and inclusive working environment.
