The Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
A hands-on, varied position ideal for someone confident managing commercial duties within a specialist construction and manufacturing setting. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day QS responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts
Lead valuations, applications for payment and variations
Manage additional works, notices, payment queries and commercial correspondence
Review payment notices and ensure compliance with contractual timelines
Support tendering and procurement activities
Produce commercial reports and maintain accurate project records
Manage final accounts and assist with project close-out
Provide wider commercial support to the Commercial Manager as required
The Right Person
Minimum
2 years experience
in Quantity Surveying (construction or manufacturing)
Confident preparing applications for payment and managing valuations
Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Must be eligible for
SC Clearance
(clean criminal record required)
Detail-focused, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
