Sunday. We require a full-time Assistant Manager to help run and manage our shop, restaurant and bar. WSET Level 2 or preferably higher, and managerial hospitality experience, essential. The successful candidate must be: Great with people Positive with a can-do attitude Fluent in English A fantastic communicator Highly literate Extremely organised and punctual Have a meticulous and unwavering eye for detail Keen to grow in the role Somewhat flexible with hours Based in, near or within easy access to Walthamstow Able to live and work legally and without restriction in the UK PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to sponsor or provide visa assistance for those without existing work-permissible visas Responsibilities include: Working closely with the General Manager and wider team to offer our dining, bar and shop customers first-rate service and unpretentious, expert knowledge. Sharing full keyholder responsibilities. Helping to prepare for and assist with our ongoing program of events and private hires, including regular customer tastings. Assisting with monthly stock orders and stock takes to ensure appropriate inventory levels. Considering stock ordering and rota management within the wider context of how the business maintains profitability. Managing and maintaining EHO-compliant documentation. Assisting with website order fulfilment Taking part in regular new product tastings with suppliers & producers, both on and off-site. Helping write monthly wine lists, tasting note crib sheets for team members and dish-specific wine pairing suggestions.
