As an
Assistant Financial Controller , you will play a key role at the heart of finance operations within a fast-paced aerospace environment. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you will deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that supports strategic decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to modernisation initiatives, enhance process efficiency, and drive digital transformation within a high-tech aerospace setting. Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, including general ledger close and group reporting packs Oversee SAP Cockpit and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) workflows to ensure compliance and timely processing Manage, coach, and support the development of a Trainee Accountant Identify and implement improvements to finance processes using digital tools and analytics Support audits, statutory reporting, tax activities, and internal controls What We're Looking For
Essential
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or equivalent experience, ideally within a manufacturing or aerospace environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of process improvement Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities effectively Desirable
Experience with Power BI and finance process automation A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for driving change Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems), advanced Excel skills, and digital finance tools Why Apply?
