Assistant Estimator/Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Nottinghamshire - £30k-£40k salary

Your new company Join a leading commercial interiors contractor based in the East Midlands. The company delivers innovative design, small scale and large scale fit-out solutions across sectors including retail, education, and industrial environments.

Your new role As an Assistant Estimator / Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality fit-out projects. Working closely with senior project QS and project managers, you’ll be responsible for estimating new enquiries, coordinating material orders, and maintaining project documentation. Your day-to-day will include:

Preparing material take-offs from drawings

Producing estimates using internal costing methods

Liaising with suppliers and arranging meetings

Ordering materials for partitions, ceilings, and flooring

Updating project documents and health & safety information

Managing enquiries and creating job folders

Handling calls and general office administration

What you'll need to succeed

Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Knowledge of internal fit-outs and associated materials (Ideal)

Ability to use AutoCAD or similar software ( but not essential)

Highly organised with attention to detail
