We are currently working with a well-established contractor with a turnover in excess of of £100m specialising in groundworks and RC Frame who are looking to appoint an Assistant Estimator to join their commercial team. Based near Gatwick, this role offers an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to develop their career within a high performing and respected contractor.

The role:

• Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tenders
• Measuring and taking off quantities from drawings
• Supporting senior estimators on live bids
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers where required

Ideal experience

• Previous experience with a groundworks or RC frame subcontractor is preferred, but not essential
• Candidates from a build of civils background will also be considered
• A good understanding of measurement and take offs is essential
