Live-In Deputy Chef Manager Stocks Hotel, Sark, Channel Islands Seasonal| Live-In | Luxury Boutique Hotel Seasonal Contract: 22 nd March 2026 31 st October 2026 Hours: 54 hours/week, 6 days (1 day off) Salary: £2250 tax-free per month + contract completion bonus (£200/month) & share of tips Stocks Hotel is seeking an experienced Deputy Chef Manager to support our Chef Manager in delivering exceptional cuisine and leading a passionate kitchen team. This is a hands-on role perfect for a talented chef who thrives in a high-quality, seasonal, garden-to-table environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing and delivering high-quality, locally sourced dishes. Support the Chef Manager in established menu delivery, daily specials, and kitchen leadership. Take charge in the Chef Managers absence, ensuring smooth operations and team development. Oversee stock control, cost management, and kitchen compliance with hygiene and safety standards. Work closely with the permaculture garden team to integrate sustainable, seasonal produce. Foster strong communication and a positive team culture in a live-in environment. Contribute positively to live-in team life while upholding professional standards. Enhance the guest dining experience through creativity and attention to detail. Requirements: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Deputy Head Chef in a hotel, resort, or quality restaurant. Strong culinary skills with a passion for fresh, sustainable ingredients. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Current food hygiene certification; knowledge of UK/Channel Islands standards. Willingness to live on Sark in a close-knit team. Desirable: Experience with permaculture produce, live-in hospitality, or Channel Islands knowledge.
