Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (mandatory).
An up-to-date
Enhanced DBS
check (or willingness to obtain one).
Strong communication skills and a deep knowledge of the
UK National Curriculum
and GCSE assessment criteria.
Key Duties:
Teach students how to use different materials and techniques.
Help kids find their own style and get confident with their work.
Get Year 11s ready for their final art exams and deadlines.
Make sure your lessons work for everyone, including students who need extra help.
Give students clear advice on how to improve their sketches and projects.
Work with the rest of the Art team to keep the department running well.
Keep the art rooms organised, safe, and ready for work.
Talk to parents about how their children are getting on.
Help put up displays around the school to show off student work.
