Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Artificial Cricket Pitch Installation Manager to lead a new Installation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in laying artificial sport pitches, obviously cricket experience would be beneficial, and will be an experienced mini digger/excavator driver.
The successful candidate will be required to work away from home on installation sites and will be provided with accommodation and subsidence while on the road. We cover the UK and carry out some export work as well.
Our pitch systems are well developed over many decades so there will be detailed method statements on all processes but also a flexibility to work to new methods that the candidate prefers or develops over time.
Duties
Lead the development of a new Artifical Cricket Pitch Installation team Manage various types of sites with varying requriements such as Cricket Clubs, Schools and other types of sports fields as well as for private residential installations. Lead the installations by driving the mini excavator with support from the team to move spoil and materials around site. Liaise with delivery drivers and suppliers to ensure the products delivered to site are suitable and to the required standard. Fitting pitches that meet the standards laid down by the national governing body. Working at height to install Cricket Kee Klamp Netages (scaffolding) and then fitting netting to the metalware including cabling etc Working with levelling equipment or levelling system to ensure facilities meet these requirements Manage the customer relationship on site throughout the installation. Liaise with other main contractors on larger sites. Liaise with Managing Director and Logistics team based in the North West of England.
Requirements
Experienced digger/excavator driver CSCS and CPCS qualifications and any appropriate works based qualification would be preferred. Full driving licence preferably clean to drive larger wheel based vehicles and also the capacity to tow trailers with plant.
