This is a remote position.\n\nArea Sales Manager – Midlands\n\nLocation: Home-based, covering the Midlands region\n\nSalary: £50,000 - £65,000 DOE\n OTE: £70,000 - £85,000 \n Benefits: Company Car, Lunch Allowance and more\n The Opportunity\n\nA market-leading manufacturer of precision sensing and measurement solutions is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands territory.\n\nThis is a strong growth role, driven by new product launches, increasing market adoption and rising customer demand across multiple industry sectors.\n\nIn this position, you will:\n\nTake full ownership of a defined Midlands territory\n\nManage and grow established key accounts\n\nDevelop new business across OEMs, system integrators and manufacturing end users\n\nYou’ll be supported by an experienced UK Sales Manager along with internal sales and technical specialists to ensure you have the tools, training and product expertise needed to succeed. There is clear progression available, whether towards leadership, senior sales, or technical specialist paths.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and grow existing key accounts to maximise retention and revenue\n\nIdentify and convert new business opportunities within target industries\n\nBuild strong relationships with engineering, production, project and quality teams\n\nConduct product demonstrations and present value-led solutions\n\nManage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to closing\n\nProduce accurate pipelines, sales forecasts and activity reporting\n\nAttend industry events, trade shows and customer site visits as required\n\nAbout You\n\nThe ideal candidate will be a driven and customer-focused sales professional with the ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into commercial value.\n\nYou should bring:\n\n3–5 years’ experience in technical/field sales within:\n\nindustrial automation,\n\nsensors,\n\nmeasurement,\n\nor instrumentation\n\nA technical qualification in engineering or a related discipline (NVQ Level 4+ preferred)\n\nStrong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills\n\nA consultative selling approach focused on solving customer problems\n\nA genuine interest in technical innovation and industrial technology\n\nWillingness to learn — full product training will be provided\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive base salary + strong package\n\nHome-based flexibility with UK team support\n\nHigh-quality product training and development opportunities\n\nOpportunity to work with advanced sensing and measurement technologies\n\nA collaborative and innovative working environment
