Area Sales Manager
Location: Within 25 miles of Newark
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + Commission (DOE)
Neos Engineering are partnered with a well-established and growing engineering / aftermarket business operating within a specialist equipment sector. Due to continued investment and growth, they are seeking an Area Sales Manager to develop and manage customer relationships across a defined regional territory.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with any sales background who is looking to move into a more technical, relationship-led role. Full product training and ongoing development will be provided, making this role ideal for candidates looking to upskill and build a long-term sales career.
The Opportunity
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing an existing customer base while identifying new sales opportunities across parts, services, and wider aftermarket offerings. The role is a mix of account management, business development, and consultative selling, with strong internal support and structured training.
You will act as the primary point of contact for customers in your area, building long-term relationships and supporting revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a regional customer base
Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers
Identify and develop new sales opportunities within your territory
Promote parts, service, and aftermarket solutions
Act as the main point of contact, offering advice and support to customers
Support lead generation and work closely with internal teams
Maintain accurate customer and account information
Actively support marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives
Work towards agreed sales targets and performance KPIs
The Candidate
Essential
Previous experience in any sales environment (B2B or B2C)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Commercially minded with a proactive approach
Confident telephone manner and customer-facing ability
Organised, self-motivated, and target driven
Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in aftermarket, parts, service, engineering, or technical sales
Telephone-based or account management sales experience
Mechanical or technical interest (training provided)
CRM or database experience
Training & Development
Full product and systems training provided
Ongoing support and upskilling into a technical sales environment
