Overview As an Area Sales Manager - ABAC Air Compressors, your mission is to maximise and grow the sales of our ABAC air compressor range via a network of appointed distributors. Responsibilities
Build, develop, and nurture strong customer relationships to support shared growth objectives. Manage and motivate a network of distributors within your territory. Plan and prioritise sales activities, including customer/prospect interaction and marketing activities, towards achieving agreed business aims and long‑term growth and profitability. Manage your region effectively, maintaining strong awareness of channel coverage, identifying gaps and actions to close them, and monitoring competitor activity and market pricing. Drive a value‑based sales approach, clearly promoting product features and benefits. Use the latest sales tools (e.g., C4C SAP). Follow up on all leads and opportunities within required timeframes, maintaining quote logs and appointments in C4C. Follow the business line pricing strategy to support channel management and maximise business results. Contribute to the positive development of Customer Satisfaction / NPS scores. Attend company and sales meetings as required and ensure that all subsequent actions are undertaken. Undertake ad‑hoc project work as required.
Qualifications
Proven sales experience, ideally in capital equipment or technical products. Experience working with or managing distributor networks. Knowledge of the compressed air industry (advantageous but not essential). A technical qualification or background (beneficial but not essential). If you bring strong sales skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, we will provide full product training. A full UK driving licence – this is a field‑based role with regular travel across your territory. Strong IT skills and a willingness to get comfortable with new systems and CRM tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – the ability to build trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues. Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with a proactive approach to planning and meeting targets. Ability to plan, prioritise and work autonomously in a field‑based role. Less than 3 points on driving licence. Lives within geographical area and able to commute reliably to Warrington office when required. Able to stay overnight on occasions in the UK or Europe as and when required.
