Job Title: Architectural Technologist Location: Leeds Salary: £30,000 - £35,000About the StudioA RIBA Chartered architecture and interior design studio with offices in Leeds and London, working across commercial, residential, mixed-use, energy centres, and building safety/cladding remediation. Their ethos: the best architecture balances creativity with commercial reality. Following a move into a new central Leeds studio, they are growing to meet an exciting project pipeline.The RoleAn experienced Architectural Technologist is needed to join the Leeds studio, delivering technically excellent projects from planning through to construction. You'll work closely with architects and project leads to produce high-quality, coordinated technical information across a varied portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation across all RIBA stagesProduce and manage Revit models and drawing packages, ensuring accuracy and consultant coordinationDevelop technical details in line with Building Regulations, planning conditions, and UK construction standardsSupport planning and Building Regulations applicationsLiaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure information is complete and coordinatedCarry out site visits, resolve technical queries, and produce site reportsContribute to design reviews and project meetingsAssist with NBS specifications and quality management processesSupport junior team membersEssential RequirementsMinimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as an Architectural Technologist in a UK practiceRevit proficiency - essentialSolid knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction methodologiesExperience producing technical packages and specifications across multiple RIBA stagesDegree or equivalent in Architectural Technology or related disciplineStrong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlinesExcellent communication and collaborative working skillsDesirableMCIAT membership or working towards CIAT chartershipExperience in commercial, mixed-use, or residential developmentFamiliarity with cladding remediation or building safety (EWS1, Building Safety Act)Knowledge of energy centre or infrastructure projectsAutoCAD experienceNBS Chorus or equivalent specification platform knowledgeWhat's on OfferVaried portfolio spanning commercial, residential, energy, and building safety sectorsHybrid working37.5-hour week with a positive work-life balance ethosCentral Leeds studio in a recently refurbished spaceCompetitive salary, commensurate with experienceCPD support and CIAT chartership supportCollaborative, non-hierarchical team cultureCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
