My client, a well‑established multi‑disciplinary practice with a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, technically robust design solutions are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist or Technician to join their growing architectural team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad project mix and wants to play a key role within a collaborative studio.
The Role
You’ll be involved in a diverse range of architectural and technical design work, supporting projects from early concept stages through to detailed construction information. The successful candidate will work closely with internal engineering and surveying teams, contributing to well‑coordinated, high‑quality project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing technical drawings, planning packages, and building regulation documentation
Interpreting project briefs and contributing to design development
Coordinating with engineers, consultants, and external stakeholders
Managing your own workload and meeting agreed project timelines
Supporting the progression of projects through planning, technical design, and construction stages
Maintaining professional development and working toward chartership (if not already achieved)
About You
I’m looking to speak to candidates who brings both technical expertise and a proactive, professional approach. The ideal candidate will have:
4 + years’ experience in UK Architectural practice
Proficient use of AutoCAD and Revit
Strong understanding of UK planning processes and permitted development
Excellent communication skills and confidence when liaising with clients, contractors, and colleagues
A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or related discipline
Chartered with CIAT or working towards
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, well‑coordinated technical information
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment
